The future of gaming

i recently read in a ing article that gears of war 3 would be set back from its April 2011 date to autumn (in northern country's) 2011 being that it will a holiday title and possible spear head for other Microsoft releases i must admit a bit of disappoint in that announcement but what really made me laugh was the PS vs x360 in the comments in the article particular the future of the 360 due to PS exclusive releases such as killzone 3, gran turismo 5 according to one poster the final nail in the coffin for 360 in Europe

i honestly laugh when i read fanboy comments for any console in any forum usually it comes to the form of this console outsells this console in this demographic and the usual response is no this one does read this sales figure and if its not that it is usually pointing out flaws in the console design such as the famous rrod on the 360 or in the ps3 case lack of Microsoft exclusive titles such as halo or gears of war

As disappointed as i am that gears of war 3 is being delayed thre are some other title that will tie me down until then and the whole console war is a pointless act on both sides because each year there is a release of a game that is said to be the killer of another game yet the game that they aim to compete with usually outsell them by quite a lot or still get quite a lot of game time years after release
